Sign-in methods and security
Manage your password, two-step codes, passkeys, where you are signed in, and (if you are the owner) team sign-in rules.
Where to find it: Sidebar › Settings › Profile and security (your own password, devices, two-step), or Security (team rules — owner only)
Set sign-in rules for your team
Only the owner can set these rules. Open Settings, then Security. The Sign-in rules group shows:
Require two-step verification — turn this on to make everyone on your team enter a code from an authenticator app every time they sign in. Anyone without two-step set up is asked to set it up the next time they open Omnikyo. To turn this on, you must have two-step verification on your own account first. If you don't, a block appears: "You don't use two-step verification yet." with a Set it up button.
Sign out unused devices — choose how long a device can stay unused before Omnikyo automatically signs it out overnight. Pick Never, After 7 days unused, After 14 days unused, After 30 days unused, After 60 days unused, or After 90 days unused. The automatic sign-out runs nightly (21:17 UTC). The person keeps their access and can sign in again.
When you turn on the two-step rule and members don't have it yet, a confirm dialog appears: "Require two-step for everyone? — [N] people don't have it yet. They'll be asked to set it up the next time they open Omnikyo." Tap Require it to proceed.
See and sign out team devices
Open Settings › Security › Team sign-ins. A list shows every team member. A green shield icon Uses two-step or a gray shield No two-step. Below each name:
- Email, role, number of devices signed in (e.g. "2 devices" or "Not signed in anywhere"), and last active time ("active 2 minutes ago" or null).
- A You pill marks your own row.
A pill at the top shows a count of members without two-step (orange warning) or "Everyone uses two-step" (green success).
Tap or click Sign out everywhere next to a team member (not your own row) to sign them out of all their devices. Confirm: "Sign [name] out everywhere?" — Every device they're signed in on (N) is signed out. They keep their access and can sign in again. Toast: "[name] was signed out of N device/devices."
Set up two-step verification
Open Settings › Profile and security › Two-step verification. A pill shows On or Off.
To turn it on:
- Tap or click the button below "Authenticator app" — the button says Set up.
- A screen appears with a QR code. Open Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy and scan the code, or type the displayed Setup key by hand.
- Enter the 6-digit code the app shows. The button is Turn on.
- Toast: "Two-step verification is on — You'll be asked for a code when you sign in."
To add a backup authenticator (a second phone):
- If two-step is already on, the row changes to Add a backup authenticator — A second phone, in case you lose this one.
- Tap Add backup and repeat the steps above.
To remove an authenticator:
- Find it in the list (it shows when it was added).
- Tap or click Remove.
- If it is your last authenticator, confirm "Turn off two-step verification? — Signing in will only need your password again." Tap Turn off.
- If you have more than one, confirm "Remove this authenticator? — Codes from it will stop working." Tap Remove.
If you haven't used the authenticator in this sign-in session (the system asks for a fresh code for security), a box appears asking for the 6-digit code before you can remove it.
Sign in with Google or a passkey
Open Settings › Profile and security › Sign-in methods.
Google — Tap or click Link Google to sign in with your Google account next time. Confirm the OAuth dialog, and you return to Settings. Your account can now use Google sign-in. Tap Linked to show it is active. To remove it, tap Linked again (if you have another sign-in method, like a passkey).
Good to know: Removing Google still keeps your email and password sign-in on. You need at least one sign-in method.
Passkeys — Tap or click Add this device to save your fingerprint, face recognition or device PIN as a sign-in method. Browser support:
- Chrome and Edge (Windows, Mac, Android): supported.
- Safari (iOS 16+, macOS 13+): supported.
- Older browsers: show "This browser can't use passkeys. Try a recent Chrome, Safari or Edge."
If the feature is disabled server-side: "Passkeys are switched off for Omnikyo right now."
Each saved passkey row shows the device name (or "Saved passkey"), "Last used [time]" or "Not used yet", and a trash icon to remove it. A toast shows whether the device was successfully saved.
See where you're signed in
Open Settings › Profile and security › Where you're signed in. The list shows every browser and phone signed in to your account. A This device pill marks the one you are using right now.
Each row shows:
- Device kind icon (desktop/phone/tablet) and name (e.g. "Chrome on Windows 11" or "Safari on iPhone 15").
- Whether it is "Active now" or "Last active [time] ago".
- "signed in [time] ago".
- City and country ("Dhaka, BD") and IP address (loopback IPs like 127.0.0.1 are hidden).
- "verified with a code" if you entered a two-step code on this session.
Tap Sign out on any device except your current one to sign it out immediately.
If you have more than 6 devices, the list shows the 6 most recent and a footer to expand or collapse the full list.
Sign out others button at the top signs you out of all other devices at once. Confirm: "Sign out of N other devices?" — Only this device stays signed in. The others need your password (and code) again. Toast confirms the number of devices you were signed out of.
Change your password
Open Settings › Profile and security › Password. Tap or click Change password.
- Enter your Current password (the one you use to sign in now).
- Enter your New password — at least 6 characters.
- Enter Confirm new password — must match the new password exactly.
- A checkbox Sign out of other devices is on by default. Leave it on to sign yourself out of all other devices when the password changes.
- Tap Change password.
If the new passwords do not match, the error is "The passwords don't match." If the current password is wrong, the error is "Your current password is not correct."
Toast: "Password changed" and optionally a message about the number of other devices signed out if you left the checkbox on.
