Ad currency, dollar rate and tax

Set your ad account's currency and the taka conversion rate so Omnikyo shows the correct ad spend in taka.

Where to find it: Sidebar › Settings › Ads and tracking › Facebook and Instagram › Ad spend tab Who can do it: Anyone with Settings access (the page.settings.integrations permission)

Set your ad account's currency and rates

Open the Ad spend tab in Ads and tracking.

Ad account currency — Choose whether your Meta ad account is billed in US dollar or Taka. This is set in Meta's own interface when you created the account. If you are not sure, check in Meta Ad Manager.

If your account is billed in US dollar, two extra fields appear:

Dollar rate — What one US dollar costs you, as your bank or card charges it. For example, if your bank charges you ৳123 per dollar, enter 123. You can use decimals (e.g. 123.5). This rate is used to convert Meta's spend to taka.

Add tax to ad spend — A toggle. Turn it on if you want to add a percentage for VAT or other charges on your ad payments.

Tax rate (only if tax is on) — A percentage. For example, 12 means 12%. This is added to every ad spend figure in your Reports so that profit is calculated correctly. The default shown is 15%, but if you have never saved this tab before, 12% is used internally until you set it.

Select Save to confirm. When you save, a toast confirms Ad spend settings saved.

Good to know: Tax does NOT apply to campaign budgets when you create a campaign — it applies only to the reported spend for calculating profit.

Worked example: convert US$10 at ৳123 with 12% tax

Your Meta account spent US$10 and you have:

  • Ad account currency: US dollar
  • Dollar rate: ৳123
  • Tax: on
  • Tax rate: 12%

The conversion:

  1. US$10 ÷ 1 × ৳123 = ৳1,230
  2. Add 12% tax: ৳1,230 × (1 + 0.12) = ৳1,257.60

So the ad spend shows as ৳1,258 in your Reports. This is the amount your profit calculation uses.

How rates affect each area

Manage tab — Your ad spend, cost per result, CPM and CPC figures are converted using the dollar rate and tax rate you set here. Change the rate or tax, and the numbers update immediately. This is live data from Meta converted to taka.

History tab — The stored daily spend was saved in taka at the dollar rate that was current when it was fetched. Changing your rate now does not change past History rows. Tax is not applied to History — only to Reports.

Reports — Your ad spend uses the stored History taka amounts and applies the current tax rate on top when calculating profit.

Dashboard — The ad spend tiles and ROAS are calculated using the live Manage tab figures, which include your current tax.

Careful: Changing the dollar rate or tax rate changes how much profit you show, and changes your ROAS. Do this only if your rates are wrong, not to adjust your numbers.

Refresh the rates when your bank rate changes

If your bank's dollar rate changes and you want Omnikyo to reflect it, update the Dollar rate field and select Save. All numbers in Manage, Dashboard and Reports will update.
