Invoices, payments and read-only mode

An invoice is created at the start of each billing cycle and is due 7 days later. You pay Omnikyo offline (bank transfer, bKash or cash — a platform admin records it). If you don't pay by the due date, your account becomes read-only and you cannot create orders. Payment restores your account as soon as it is recorded.

Where to find it: Settings › no merchant billing page. A red Account Read-Only: banner appears at the top when payment is overdue or when access is restricted for any other reason.

Invoices, due dates and paying

An invoice is issued at the start of each billing cycle with the plan price (in BDT). The due date is printed on the invoice — it is always 7 days after the cycle starts.

You pay Omnikyo offline, not through the dashboard. A platform admin can record a payment as:

  • Bank transfer
  • bKash
  • Nagad
  • Cash
  • Card
  • Manual adjustment

To pay, contact your support team or a platform admin with the invoice ID and your payment reference (bank receipt, transaction ID, or bKash reference). They record the payment in Omnikyo's billing console, and your account status updates as soon as the payment is saved.

Once the total amount paid on an invoice equals the invoice amount, the invoice is marked paid and your account reactivates immediately (if it was locked).

Read-only mode: past due and suspended

When an invoice is not paid by its due date, your account enters read-only mode. A daily billing job runs shortly after midnight UTC; once the due date has passed it marks the account past due and then suspends it in the same run. In practice the account is suspended the day after the due date.

While suspended, a warning banner at the top of the screen reads Account Read-Only: followed by the reason, and you cannot create orders, add team members, or make other changes. The reason shown is that the account is in read-only mode because payment is overdue.

What still works when read-only

When your account is read-only:

  • You can view all your orders, customers, products, and reports. Read-only does not hide your data.
  • Your existing data stays visible.

What is blocked:

  • New orders, both manual ones and orders from your storefront.
  • Most actions that save a change, such as changing order status, refunds and payment links.
  • Adding new team members.

Good to know: Read-only mode does not hide your existing data, but it does stop saving changes and new orders until the invoice is paid or an admin restores access.

How payment restores access

When a platform admin records your payment in the billing console, the system checks the payment total against the invoice amount. The moment the payment reaches the full invoice amount, three things happen:

  1. The invoice is marked paid.
  2. Your account status changes back to active.
  3. The banner disappears.

You can now create orders and make changes again.

Grace period access grant

A platform admin can manually restore write access to your account for the current cycle while an invoice remains unpaid. This is called a grace period access grant. Your account regains the ability to create orders and make other changes while the invoice stays open. If your cycle rolls over while the invoice is still unpaid, the grant carries into the new cycle and the new cycle gets its own invoice.

This is a temporary measure — it does not erase the invoice or change the amount due. You still need to pay eventually.
