Find a customer and read their profile

Use the search box to find a customer by name or phone number, then open their profile to see their full history, what they have bought, and whether their parcels usually reach them.

Where to find it: Sidebar › Customers › the search box

Search for a customer

Open Customers in the sidebar. At the top is a search box with the placeholder Search by name or phone....

Type the customer's name (first name, last name, or any part) or their phone number. The search matches any part of the text:

  • Typing Ahmed finds any customer whose name contains Ahmed.
  • Typing 1712 finds any customer whose phone contains 1712.
  • Typing +880 1712 finds nothing, because the search does not normalise phone numbers — use 01712 or 1712 instead.

The page shows 50 results per page. If there are more, use the buttons at the bottom to see the next 50.

When you search, you always start from page 1 of the results.

Click Clear search in the empty state, or click the ✕ button in the search box, to show all customers again.

Open a customer's profile

Click any customer row in the list, or press Enter if the row is highlighted.

The profile opens as a tall panel. On a phone it fills the entire screen. The profile shows:

  • The customer's name, phone number, city and the date they joined
  • A segment chip (one word in a coloured background) that describes their behaviour — Loyal, Repeat buyer, First-time buyer, Lapsed, Often returns, or No orders yet
  • Everything else that follows

Read through the sections below to understand each part.

The Contact panel

The top-left panel shows:

  • Phone — a tap-to-call link; a Copy phone number button copies it to your clipboard.
  • Email — a mailto link, or Not given if they did not provide one.
  • Address — the full address and city they gave, or Not given.

These details come from orders. You cannot edit them here — edit them through an order instead.

The Delivery record

Below the Contact panel is a ring showing the delivery record — how likely parcels to this phone number are to be delivered. See The delivery record for what the numbers mean.

The Timeline panel

The Timeline shows important dates:

  • Customer since — the date they placed their first order.
  • First order — the calendar date of their earliest order. If they have more than 50 orders on record (so the oldest is not loaded yet), it shows Over a page ago.
  • Last order — the calendar date and how long ago (for example "15 May, 3 days ago").
  • Orders every — the median number of days between their orders (for example "~7 days"). Shows One order so far if they have never placed a second order.

The How they order panel

The How they order panel shows chips with counts of how this customer orders:

  • Comes from — where their orders came from (Order form, Storefront, Shopify, etc.).
  • Pays by — how they paid (Cash on delivery, bKash, etc.).
  • Shipped with — which couriers delivered to them (Pathao, Steadfast, etc.).

Each chip shows the name and the number of orders using that method.

The What they buy panel

The top 5 products this customer has spent the most money on, with:

  • A thumbnail of the product
  • The product name
  • How many units they bought and in how many orders
  • The total amount they spent on that product

Below the top 5, it shows +N more products if they have ordered more.

If there are no orders, the panel does not appear.

The KPI strip — four key numbers

  • Lifetime value — the total amount they have ever ordered across all their orders (including cancelled and returned orders). This is what they have ordered, not what has been delivered.
  • Orders — the count of every order they have placed. If some are exchanges, it shows "N exch." — for example "Orders 10 2 exch." means they have placed 10 orders, 2 of which are exchanges.
  • Average order — Lifetime value ÷ Orders. If they have spent Tk 10,000 across 4 orders, this is Tk 2,500.
  • Delivered — the percentage of their finished orders (Delivered, Returned, Return Pending, and Cancelled) that reached them. Shows the count as well (for example "87% 7 of 8 finished"). Shows — if none of their orders have finished yet. Note: Cancelled orders count as failures in this percentage.

The How their orders ended panel

A stacked bar with four counts:

  • Delivered (green) — orders that reached the customer.
  • In progress (blue) — orders still being shipped.
  • Returned (amber) — orders that came back (includes Return Pending).
  • Cancelled (red) — orders that were cancelled.

Below the bar, it shows the total count of loaded orders when there are more than 50.

The Orders list

The full list of their orders, newest first. Each row shows:

  • Up to 3 product thumbnails.
  • The order number (for example #0047).
  • An Exchange tag if it is an exchange order.
  • Up to 2 product names, then +N if there are more.
  • The order date and time.
  • How many units.
  • The order status (Pending, Dispatched, Delivered, etc.).
  • The order total.

Click an order row to open the full order details.

At the bottom is a Load {N} more button to load the next batch of orders (50 at a time).

If the customer has more than 50 loaded orders, the numbers above (Lifetime value, Average order, Delivered %) say Latest {N} orders to show you that they are based on the newest orders only.

From the profile header

Three buttons appear in the header:

  • Call (if they have a phone) — opens your phone's dialer to call them.
  • WhatsApp (if they have a valid Bangladeshi mobile number) — opens WhatsApp Web or the WhatsApp app to message them.
  • All orders — closes the profile and opens the Orders page searched by their phone number, showing every status.
