Leave campaigns out of ad spend
You can leave any Meta campaign out of the Dashboard's Ad spend total, so ROAS and Net profit reflect only the campaigns you care about.
Where to find it: Sidebar › Dashboard › the Ad spend card › the gear button (Filter campaigns) Who can do it: Anyone who can open the Dashboard (the page.dashboard permission).
Before you start
Leaving a campaign out needs a connected Meta ad account, because the list is read from Meta. If Meta is not connected, or did not answer, the list is empty and shows No campaigns with spend in this period. Connect your ad account in Settings first, then come back.
Only campaigns that spent money in the date range you are viewing appear in the list. A campaign with zero spend has nothing to leave out.
Leave a campaign out of the Ad spend total
- Open Dashboard and choose the date range you want to look at.
- On the Ad spend card, select the gear button in the top right corner.
- In the Filter Campaigns box, find the campaign. Type in Search campaigns... if the list is long.
- Untick the campaign. A ticked row is counted; an unticked row is left out and appears dimmed. You can also click the row, or press Enter or Space.
- Close the box by clicking outside it.
The change applies immediately. The gear turns green and shows a small number for how many campaigns are left out, and the card's caption shows the count (for example, "1 campaign left out" or matching your total).
What changes when a campaign is left out
Leaving a campaign out lowers the Ad spend figure by that campaign's spend, never below Tk 0. Everything that is worked out from ad spend follows it: ROAS, ad cost per order, ad cost per delivered order and Net profit.
For example, if your account spent Tk 20,000 and one test campaign spent Tk 3,000, leaving the test campaign out shows Ad spend as Tk 17,000, and ROAS and Net profit are recalculated on Tk 17,000.
Good to know: The small trend line on the Ad spend card and the ad line on the Sales chart still show your full account spend each day. Only the headline total changes.
Bring a campaign back
Open the gear again and tick the campaign. To bring back everything at once, select Clear all. The count on the gear and the card caption update straight away.
How long the choice lasts
The list of left-out campaigns is remembered only in the browser tab you are using. It survives a page reload in that tab. It is not kept if you open a new tab, use another device, or sign in again, and it is not saved to your business.
The choice also stays the same when you change the date range, so a campaign you left out stays out for every range until you tick it again. Reports does not use this choice; it always counts all ad spend.
Questions people ask
Does leaving a campaign out change my Reports?
No. The choice applies only to the Dashboard in the tab where you made it. Reports always include all your ad spend.
Why is my campaign missing from the list?
The list shows only campaigns that spent money in the selected date range. Widen the range, or check that Meta is connected. If Meta timed out, the list is empty until the next successful load.
Why did my left-out campaigns come back?
The list is kept per browser tab. A new tab, a different device or a fresh sign-in starts with every campaign counted.
