Connect Steadfast

Create your Steadfast API credentials, paste them into Omnikyo and set up the webhook to receive delivery updates.

Where to find it: Sidebar › Settings › Shipping and delivery › Steadfast Who can do it: A member with the page.settings.integrations permission (usually the owner or a manager). Status: You can check your Steadfast balance inside Omnikyo once you are connected.

Before you start

You need a Steadfast merchant account. If you do not have one yet, sign up at steadfast.com.bd.

Step 1: Create your API keys in Steadfast

  1. Sign in to your Steadfast account at https://steadfast.com.bd/user/api.
  2. Generate (or view) your API key.
  3. Generate (or view) your Secret key (it is hidden; click to show it).
  4. Copy both. You will paste them into Omnikyo.

Step 2: Paste your credentials into Omnikyo

  1. Go to Sidebar › Settings › Shipping and delivery › Steadfast in Omnikyo.
  2. You will see two fields.
  3. Paste your API key from Steadfast.
  4. Paste your Secret key from Steadfast.
  5. Click Save. A toast will show Steadfast saved.

Your Steadfast status pill will change to Connected.

Step 3: Check your connection and balance (optional)

Once connected, you can see your Steadfast account balance inside Omnikyo.

  1. Still on the Steadfast page, find the Check connection button.
  2. Click it. Omnikyo will fetch your balance from Steadfast.
  3. If successful, the header shows your balance (e.g., "Balance ৳ 1,234.56") and the status pill stays Connected.
  4. If something goes wrong, the status pill becomes Can't reach Steadfast and an error message appears (e.g., "Could not fetch balance from Steadfast."). Check that your keys are correct and Steadfast is online, then try again.

The balance shown is what Steadfast says you have. It updates only when you click Check connection; it is not live.

Good to know: Pathao does not have a balance check. Only Steadfast shows your account balance here.

Step 4: Add the webhook so Omnikyo gets delivery updates

  1. Still on the Steadfast page, find the Delivery updates row. It shows a callback address.
  2. Copy the callback address (it looks like https://yourstore.omnikyo.com/api/webhooks/steadfast).
  3. Go to Steadfast portal › Webhooks (at https://steadfast.com.bd/user/webhook/add).
  4. Paste the callback address.
  5. For the auth token, copy your Secret key from the Omnikyo Steadfast page and paste it into Steadfast's auth token field.
  6. Save in Steadfast.

Once the webhook is saved, Omnikyo will receive delivery updates when the parcel status changes (pending, delivered, returned, etc.).

What happens next

You can now:

  • Book parcels from the Orders list. The row menu shows Send to Steadfast.
  • Book many parcels at once (up to 100 in a batch) using the bulk Ship menu.
  • See delivery updates automatically as Steadfast scans the parcel.
  • Check your balance anytime by clicking Check connection.

Change your credentials

If you need to update your API key or secret key, click Change credentials at the bottom of the page. The form will reappear. Make your changes and click Save.

Questions people ask

What is the difference between the API key and the secret key?

The API key identifies your account. The Secret key is like a password — it authorizes requests to Steadfast and also proves to Omnikyo that delivery updates from Steadfast are genuine. Both are needed.

Why does it say "Can't reach Steadfast"?

Steadfast did not answer when Omnikyo tried to check your balance. Reasons: your keys are wrong, Steadfast is down, or your internet connection timed out. Check your keys are pasted correctly, wait a moment and try again.

Do I need the balance check?

No. The balance check is optional. You can book parcels without it. But it is useful to know you have credits in your Steadfast account before shipping.

What if I do not set the webhook?

You can still book parcels and Steadfast will deliver them. But Omnikyo will not receive delivery status updates. You will need to manually add the tracking code after booking, or use Sync status to pull the latest information from Steadfast.
