Collapse the sidebar and use the menu on a phone

You can make the sidebar narrow to show only icons, freeing space for the page content.

Collapse and expand the sidebar on desktop

Open the dashboard. At the top left of the header, next to Search or jump to…, press the sidebar button (the icon looks like three horizontal lines). The sidebar narrows to show only the icons of each page or section.

Each icon in the narrow sidebar shows its name as a tooltip when you hover over it. The Theme button at the bottom disappears when the sidebar is narrow.

To expand again, press the sidebar button once more.

Use the keyboard shortcut

Press Ctrl + B on Windows or Linux, or Cmd + B on Mac, anywhere in the dashboard to toggle the sidebar between narrow and wide. This works whether you are on the Dashboard, Orders, or any other page.

The menu on a phone

On a phone (screen narrower than 768 pixels), the sidebar becomes a drawer that slides in from the left side of the screen. Tap the sidebar button in the header to open it.

Choose any page or section by tapping it. The drawer closes automatically and the page opens.

Tap the sidebar button again if you need to return to the drawer.

Important notes

The collapsed or expanded choice is written to your browser but is not remembered when you reload the page or close the browser. The sidebar opens wide every time you sign in or refresh.

The Theme button is hidden when the sidebar is narrow on desktop. Use the command palette instead: press Ctrl K or ⌘ K, type "dark" or "light", and choose Switch to dark mode or Switch to light mode.
