Your business and your login

One Omnikyo login is linked to exactly one business. There is no way to own multiple businesses with one login, and no business switcher. Different people can belong to the same business, and you can run multiple accounts.

When you create your Omnikyo account, a business is created for you automatically at that moment. The business is linked to your login and stays linked forever. You cannot switch it, and you cannot create a new one from the dashboard.

If you want to run a second business, you must create a second Omnikyo login (a different email address). Each login owns its own business.

There is no business name switcher in the sidebar, and no Switch business option anywhere. The business you are using is the only one your login can access.

When you first sign in or complete your phone number, Omnikyo creates:

One business, named after you or your email (for example "<name>'s business" or "My business"), with a slug made from the name. The slug is made unique with a number if needed, and reserved names like "app", "admin" or "login" are replaced with store- plus part of your user ID.
Your subscription — a monthly plan tied to the business, starting today. The plan name and features depend on Omnikyo's current default plan.
Your role as owner. You can do everything in the business, including adding and removing team members and changing permissions.

The business name vs. the store name

The business name is what Omnikyo calls your company inside the dashboard (visible in Settings › General and in the sidebar). You can change it anytime.

The store name (or store address) is what customers see. You set it on the welcome stage and can change it later in Settings › Store. The store's web address (<name>.omnikyo.com) comes from the store name.

They can be the same, but they do not have to be. For example your business could be named "Rahim Fabrics (Dhaka)" and the store "Elegant Kurtis".

The owner and staff roles

Your login automatically gets the owner role when the business is created. An owner:

Can see and change everything in the business.
Can invite team members, remove them and change their permissions.
Can delete the business.
Cannot leave the business (you own it).

Team members you invite get a role you choose: owner (same as you), manager (almost everything except deleting the business or removing you), or staff (a limited set of page and action permissions that you pick). A staff member:

Can see and do only what their role allows.
Cannot see other staff members' permissions.
Cannot invite or remove anyone.
Can leave the business from Settings › Your account.

Your business name and your role are shown in the sidebar. Tap the user button to see your email and phone, and to sign out.

Why there is no business switcher

The one-business-per-login design keeps every merchant's data, settings and subscriptions simple. If you need a second business, create a second login (a second email address), and you can switch between them in the account switcher (Sidebar › user button › Add another account). Sign in as the other person, and their business opens.

The account switcher works in this browser; other browsers and devices need their own sign-in.

Changing the business name

Go to Settings › General and edit the Business name field. The change is shown at once in the sidebar. The store's web address (<name>.omnikyo.com) is set separately and does not change when the business name does.
