Write and publish a blog post
- Open Blog posts and click Add post.
- Enter a Title for the post (required; up to 200 characters). For example, "Announcing our summer collection".
- Choose a Blog from the dropdown (required; you must create a blog first if the list is empty; see "Create a blog" below).
- The Handle field shows the URL slug, auto-filled from the title and lowercased. You can edit it; it can only contain lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. Reserved handles (admin, api, comments, new, null, tagged, undefined) cannot be used.
- Write the Content (required; up to 200,000 characters) using the rich text editor. Press
/to see formatting options. - (Optional) Enter an Excerpt — a short summary shown on blog cards and search results.
- In the Organization card, enter the Author (max 80 characters, defaults "Store team") and Tags (comma-separated; max 24 tags, each ≤40 characters).
- (Optional) Enter a Featured image URL (
https://...). - In the Visibility card, toggle Published to make the post live on the storefront, or leave it Draft. The live URL appears as
https://{your-store}/blog/{handle}. - (Optional) In the Search engine listing card, enter an SEO title (defaults to the post title) and SEO description (up to 320 characters).
- Click Save to create or update the post.
The post appears in your post list. Once published, the original publish date is locked in; later edits keep that date.
Create a blog
- Open Blog posts and click Blogs (or it auto-opens if no blog exists).
- Enter a Name for the blog (for example, "News") and the Handle (auto-follows the name as you type; you can edit it; must be lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens).
- Enter a Description (optional) — what this blog is about (shown on the blog's landing page).
- Toggle Allow comments on posts if you want shoppers to comment (if off, comments are disabled even if a post is published).
- If comments are on, toggle Moderate comments before publishing — if on, comments wait in a queue for you to approve; if off, they appear immediately.
- Click Save blog to create it.
The blog appears in your blog dropdown on the post editor. You can edit or delete it from the Blogs card.
Manage blogs and moderate comments
- Open Blog posts. The Blogs card shows every blog and its comment settings.
- Edit a blog's fields (name, handle, description, comment switches) or delete it. Deleting a blog does not delete its posts, but comments on those posts are removed.
- Click Comments (or the sidebar link) to open the comment moderation queue.
- The queue shows tabs Pending (waiting for approval, if moderation is on), Approved, Spam and All.
- Click Approve to approve a pending comment (if moderation is on, it then appears under the post on the storefront).
- Use the row menu (three dots) and select Mark as spam to mark it as spam. You can also select the Email option to reply to the author (opens your email client) or select Delete to remove it.
- To approve multiple comments, select them with checkboxes and click the Approve button that appears with the count.
All approved comments appear on the storefront under their posts. Spam and rejected comments are never shown to shoppers.
Read and answer contact messages
Open the Contact inbox to read and respond to messages shoppers send through your contact form. You must check it manually — the platform has no outbound notifications, so the inbox is the only signal.
- Open Contact inbox (sidebar › Website › Online store › Contact inbox).
- The page shows tabs New, Read, Archived and All. The default New tab shows unread messages.
- Click a message row to open it and see the shopper's name, email, phone (if provided) and the full message text.
- Opening a New message marks it Read in place.
- Use the row menu (three dots) and select Reply by email to send an email response (your email client opens with the shopper's address).
- Select Archive to move it out of New and Read; select Mark as new to reopen it.
- Select Delete to remove a message permanently.

- Message (required; ≤2,000 characters).
A shopper can submit at most 5 messages per hour from a single IP address. If they try more, they see "Too many messages from here. Please try again later."
