Store name, logo, Google listing and visibility

Set your store name and logo, write a Google listing, and turn your store on or off for customers.

Where to find it: Sidebar › Settings › Store settings

Before you start

You need the Manage storefront permission to save changes to store name, logo or Google listing. The Store visible to customers toggle saves immediately and needs Manage storefront or Edit storefront settings permission.

Your store name appears in your store footer, in order emails, and in Google search results. Your logo appears at the top of your storefront in the header.

  1. Go to Settings › Store settings.
  2. Under Store details, fill in Store name (up to 120 characters). Example: "My Awesome Shop" or "তারার দোকান".
  3. To add a logo:
    • Tap Upload logo or Change (if you already have one).
    • Pick an image from your library or upload a new one.
    • PNG or SVG with a transparent background works best.
  4. To remove a logo, tap Remove (only shows if a logo is set).

When you are done with name and logo, tap the Save bar at the bottom to save your changes.

Write your Google listing

When someone searches for your store or sees a link to it on Facebook or other sites, they see a preview with your store name, a headline, a summary, and your store logo. You control what that preview shows.

  1. Under Google and shared links, look at the Preview on Google box. This shows how your store looks in Google search and shared links.
  2. In Page title (below the preview, up to 60 characters), type the headline that shows in Google. This is the blue link that appears in search results. Aim for 50–60 characters. Example: "Buy online at My Shop | Fast delivery" or "এক্সক্লুসিভ ফ্যাশন সংগ্রহ | তারার দোকান".
  3. If you leave it empty, Google uses your store name.
  4. In Meta description (up to 160 characters), type a summary that tells people what you sell. This appears under the headline in Google search and in link previews. Aim for 150–160 characters. Example: "Shop handpicked clothing and accessories. Cash on delivery across Dhaka" or "দেশব্যাপী ফ্রি ডেলিভারি। সেরা দামে প্রিমিয়াম কালেকশন।"
  5. If you leave the description empty, Google uses "{Store name} online store" instead.

The preview updates as you type so you can see exactly how it will look.

Tip: Use keywords that people search for. If you sell "winter jackets", include those words.

Good to know: Google can take a few days to show your new listing. Until it updates, you might still see the old version in search results.

Turn your store on or off

The Store visible to customers toggle controls whether customers can see and shop your store at all.

When on (Live): Your store is open. Anyone with the address can browse products and place orders.

When off (Hidden): Visitors see that your store is closed. They cannot browse or order. Useful while you are setting up or making big changes.

  1. Find Store visible to customers under Visibility & design.
  2. Toggle it On to open for shopping, or Off to hide.
  3. You see the status change immediately — Live or Hidden — and a confirmation toast.

Careful: A Hidden store blocks all orders, even if you have a published theme. Turning visibility off immediately stops shoppers from ordering.

Good to know: Your store can only be Live if you have Published a theme. Visibility alone is not enough — you must publish a theme first (in Sidebar › Website › Themes). If you see Not published under Theme, publish one before turning visibility on.

The favicon

Your store's favicon (the tiny icon in the browser tab) is set in the theme designer, not here. Open the Manage themes button in the Visibility & design section to jump to Themes, then:

  1. Open Customise on your live theme.
  2. In the designer, find the theme settings (gear icon).
  3. Look for Logo and favicon — upload your favicon there (usually 512×512 pixels, PNG or SVG).
  4. Publish the theme.

Unpublished changes

When the Theme section shows Unpublished changes, you have edits in the designer that are not live yet. Customers see your last published version.

  • To go live with your edits, open Manage themes, then Publish from the designer.
  • Unpublished changes do not affect visibility — the toggle still works, and shoppers can still order (if visible).

Problems and fixes

Store is visible but shows "Not published"

You have visibility ON but no published theme. Publish a theme:

  1. Tap Manage themes.
  2. Find your theme and tap Publish (or if nothing is live, tap Customise, then Publish in the designer).
  3. Confirm the publish dialog.

I changed the Google listing but it is not showing on Google

Google caches your listing and can take a few days to update. You can request a refresh:

  1. Go to Google Search Console (if you have verified your site there).
  2. Ask Google to crawl your home page again.

Cannot save the store name

You may not have the right permission. Ask your manager for Manage storefront permission. Or the field may be empty or too long — store name must be 1–120 characters.

Logo upload failed

Make sure the file is a PNG or SVG image (under 5 MB for most cases). The image should have a transparent background for the best look in your store header.

Questions people ask

How long does it take for Google to show my new listing?

Usually a few days. Google re-crawls your site regularly but does not do it immediately. You can speed it up by requesting a crawl in Google Search Console if you have verified your site there.

Does my store name appear in the header on my storefront?

No. Your store name appears in the footer, in order emails, and in Google search results. The logo appears in the header. To change what the header shows, edit the theme in the designer.

Can I set a favicon from here?

No. Favicon is set in the theme designer under theme settings › Logo and favicon. You upload it there, not here.

What if I do not have a Page title?

If you leave Page title empty, Google uses your store name instead. That is fine for a small store, but a custom title usually performs better in search.

What happens if visibility is off and I published a theme?

Your theme is ready to go live, but customers cannot see it. The moment you turn visibility On, they will see your published theme immediately.

Can I reuse a logo from the internet?

Only if you own it or have permission to use it. If you use someone else's logo or copyright image without permission, it can cause legal problems. Use a logo you created yourself or bought a license to use.
