Where orders come from
Every order carries a Source label that shows which sales channel brought it — a choice you make for hand-entered orders, or automatic for storefront and integration orders.
Where to find it: Sidebar › Orders › open an order › the Source row, or use the Source filter on the order list
The six source types
Every order shows one of six sources:
- Messenger — orders from Meta Messenger (message, not integrated; entered by hand).
- Instagram — orders from Instagram Direct Messages (entered by hand).
- Whatsapp — orders from WhatsApp (entered by hand).
- Call — orders from phone calls with customers (entered by hand).
- Offline — in-person sales or cash walks; also the default for POS and hand-made orders where you don't pick a source.
- Website — orders from your Omnikyo online store, Omnikyo landing pages, your own connected website, or Shopify.
You cannot choose Website as a source when creating an order by hand — it is reserved for automatic channels. If you edit an order that was already marked Website, the source stays locked and cannot be changed.
Automatic sources for integrated sales
When orders arrive from a connected service, Omnikyo sets the source automatically to Website:
- Your Omnikyo online store — customers check out on your storefront.
- Omnikyo landing pages — customers place orders on a landing page offer.
- Your own website (Connect) — a custom PHP or Laravel site sends orders through the Omnikyo API.
- Shopify — orders synced from a Shopify store you have connected.
On your order list, these all appear with the Website source badge.
Find orders by source
On the Orders list, click the Source filter to show only orders from one channel. The filter chip shows Messenger, Instagram, Whatsapp, Call, Offline, or Website, and defaults to Any (all sources). Pick one to narrow the list; click it again or select Any to clear the filter.
This filter is useful when you want to see only storefront orders, or only hand-taken orders from a specific channel.
Marketing attribution and campaigns
Orders from your online store, landing pages, or connected website can carry marketing attribution — information about which Meta ad campaign or organic search result led to the sale. When an order has attribution data, a pill badge appears next to the Source row. Click it to open the Attribution popover and see:
- The Channel (Search, Social, Direct, Referral, Email, Affiliate, Internal)
- The Campaign and Creative names from Meta (if captured)
- The Ad details and Click ID from Meta's ad system
- UTM tags if the landing URL carried them
Attribution is synced from Meta ads and captured from the landing page URL. If no campaign id is present in the link, the order shows no attribution data.
