Sample products

When you open your store, Kyo adds three sample products so you have something to show customers straight away. They disappear the moment you create your first real product.

বাংলায়: আপনার দোকান খোলার সময়, Kyo তিনটি sample পণ্য যোগ করে যাতে আপনার কাছে গ্রাহকদের দেখানোর মতো কিছু থাকে। আপনি যখন আপনার প্রথম আসল পণ্য তৈরি করেন, তখন এই তিনটি sample স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে অদৃশ্য হয়ে যায়।

What the samples are

You get three sample products. Their names, prices and descriptions depend on the business category you chose on the welcome stage. Here are all the samples by category:

Clothing

Linen shirt — Tk 1,450 — "Breathable linen, cut for Dhaka summers."
Cotton kurti — Tk 1,250 — "Soft cotton with hand-finished seams."
Silk scarf — Tk 890 — "Light enough for every day."

Bags

City messenger — Tk 2,450 — "Canvas and leather, fits a 14-inch laptop."
Market tote — Tk 1,150 — "Roomy, sturdy, folds flat."
Wayfarer pack — Tk 3,200 — "A backpack for the daily commute."

Beauty

Rose face mist — Tk 650 — "A cooling mist for hot afternoons."
Vitamin C serum — Tk 1,290 — "Brightening serum for every skin type."
Lip tint — Tk 450 — "Sheer colour that lasts all day."

Food

Sundarban honey — Tk 850 — "Raw honey, 500 g jar."
Date molasses — Tk 520 — "Khejur gur from Jessore, 1 kg."
Cashew mix — Tk 690 — "Roasted and lightly salted, 250 g."

Gadgets

Wireless earbuds — Tk 2,890 — "Bluetooth 5.3, 24 hours with the case."
Smart watch — Tk 3,450 — "Heart rate, steps and notifications."
Phone stand — Tk 590 — "Aluminium, folds into your pocket."

Home

Table lamp — Tk 2,150 — "Warm light with a linen shade."
Accent chair — Tk 8,900 — "Solid wood frame, cotton cushion."
Cotton throw — Tk 1,650 — "Hand-woven, 130 × 170 cm."

Something else (general store)

First product — Tk 990 — "Replace this with something you sell."
Second product — Tk 1,490 — "Replace this with something you sell."
Third product — Tk 1,990 — "Replace this with something you sell."

All samples have 25 in stock and are Active. They are tagged omnikyo-sample so Omnikyo can find them.

When they disappear

As soon as you create one product that is not a sample, the three samples are deleted automatically. The "Add your first product" setup step is done at that point, and Kyo marks it complete. This happens in the background; you do not need to do anything.

If one of the samples is already on an order, it cannot be deleted (deleting would break the order history). Instead, it is archived, so it no longer appears on your storefront or in the Active product filter, but it stays in your list and in the order record.

Archived samples have a lock icon and the status Archived. You can still edit or unarchive them if you need to.

If you want to remove them sooner

You can delete the samples by hand before you create your first product. Open All products, find each one (they are tagged omnikyo-sample), open it and select Delete from the menu. They do not count as your first product, so creating one sample does not trigger the auto-clear — you must create a non-sample product for that.

You can also archive them if you want to keep the history but hide them from your storefront.
