Print an invoice
An invoice is a detailed record of the order for your files or the customer.
- In Orders, select one or more orders.
- Click Print Invoices in the toolbar.
- A new browser tab opens showing the invoice(s).
- Each order is on a separate A4 page with:
- Your business name and details
- Order number and date
- Customer name, phone, and address
- Each item: product name, quantity, unit price, line total
- Subtotal, shipping, discount, and total
- Payment method and status
- Tracking information if available
- Press Ctrl/⌘ P or click Print on the page to send to your printer (PDF or paper).
- Save as PDF, print to paper, or email to the customer.
Print a packing list
A packing list is for your fulfillment team — it shows what items go in each parcel.
- In Orders, select one or more orders.
- Click Print Packing List in the toolbar.
- A new tab opens. You see two view options at the top:
- Standard — three packing slips per A4 page, each showing one order's items. Good for small batches.
- Light — a summary view with all orders on one page, then detailed packing lists. Good for large batches (fits about 32 line items per page).
- Choose the view you prefer.
- Click Print to print to paper or save as PDF.
The packing list shows:
- Order number and date
- Customer name and delivery address
- The amount the courier will collect (if COD)
- Each item: product name, quantity, and its status
Print a receipt
A receipt prints on a thermal POS printer (like those used in shops). It is a quick, compact record on a narrow roll.
You need:
- A thermal receipt printer (58mm or 80mm width) connected to your computer.
- QZ Tray — a free app that connects Omnikyo to your local printer. Download it from
qz.io(the desktop app, not web). - QZ Tray must be running on your computer when you print.
To print a receipt:
- In Orders, select one or more orders.
- Click Print Receipts in the toolbar.
- A dialog opens asking which printer and paper width:
- Printer — dropdown of detected thermal printers (filters out fax, OneNote, PDF, XPS). Pick yours.
- Paper width — 80mm (standard roll) or 58mm (narrow roll). Omnikyo remembers your choice for next time.
- Click Print.
The receipt prints immediately if QZ Tray is running. The receipt shows:
- Your business name or logo (if uploaded)
- "ORDER RECEIPT"
- Order number and date
- Customer name and phone
- Items ordered (name, quantity, unit price, line total)
- Subtotal, shipping, discount, total
- Payment method
- Tracking code and link (if available)
- "Thank you for your order."
- "Powered by Omnikyo"
When QZ Tray is not running, you see "Receipt printer connector not found." Download and open QZ Tray, then try again.
When the printer is not detected, make sure it is turned on and connected to your computer. Windows and Mac drivers must be installed. QZ Tray discovers printers through the system.
Printer setup and troubleshooting
Paper width options:
- 80mm (Standard roll) — most common for thermal printers. Wider, better for longer product names.
- 58mm (Narrow roll) — more compact. Check what width your printer can handle before buying rolls. The setting is saved on your device, so you set it once and Omnikyo remembers.
Printer not showing up in the list:
- Make sure the printer is plugged in and turned on.
- Open Windows Settings (or System Preferences on Mac) and check that the printer is listed.
- Download and install the printer's driver from the manufacturer's website.
- Close and reopen QZ Tray.
- Try again.
Receipt is cut off or wrapping to odd places:
- Check the paper width setting. If you have 58mm paper, make sure you select 58mm in the dialog.
- Some printers print narrower than their stated width. You may need to experiment.
When QZ Tray is running but the printer is not found:
- QZ Tray finds printers through your system. If Windows or Mac doesn't see it, QZ Tray won't either.
- Restart QZ Tray.
- On Windows, try restarting the Print Spooler service.
Limits
- Invoices and packing lists — limited by browser memory. Very large batches (hundreds of orders) may be slow.
- Receipts — only one printer at a time. To print to different printers, run the dialog twice.
- You must have Print permission to access these buttons.
