The All products page

The All products page is your list of products. You can search, filter, sort, and select products here. Rows show the product name, status, stock level, category and price. Click a row to see details; use the checkboxes to select multiple products for bulk actions.

The layout

The All products page has several zones:

1. Toolbar — a search box, a Filters button, and the Add product button
2. Status pills — All, Active, Draft, Archived, each showing a count
3. Table — rows of products
4. Selection bar — appears when you tick checkboxes, with bulk action buttons
5. Mobile drawer — on a phone, the selection bar becomes a tappable sheet at the bottom

Search products

The search box at the top left searches across three fields: product name, SKU and description. The match is case-insensitive and finds any substring (so typing "plo" finds "Polo shirt").

Type or paste into Search products or SKU and results update after a brief pause. Clear the search by clicking the ✕.

Status pills

The row of pills lets you filter by status without opening the full filters. Tap one:

• All — show every product (default)
• Active — only active products
• Draft — only draft products
• Archived — only archived products

The count on each pill updates to reflect the other filters you have applied (so if you have filtered by stock level, the count shows how many products match both the status and the stock filter).

The product table

Each row shows:

• Checkbox — tick to select the product for bulk actions
• Thumbnail — the cover photo (or a grey image icon if no photo)
• Product name — the product title (white text); below it, the SKU, or "No SKU" if blank
• Variant count — "N variant(s)" if the product has variants; for simple products, shows the SKU or "No SKU"
• Status — a coloured pill: green (Active), amber (Draft), grey (Archived)
• Stock level — red "Out of stock" if the count is 0 or below; amber "Low" if 1–5 in stock; green "N in stock" otherwise. For variant products: "N in stock for M variants" and "at N locations" if you have multiple locations
• Category — the category name, or "Uncategorized" if none
• Price — shown as ৳ with no decimals. For variant products, a range like "৳500 – ৳1,200"

Click a row to see details

Clicking a row opens a product details modal. The modal shows:

• Product photo gallery
• Key facts: price, stock at each location, cost, margin
• Recent orders that included this product
• Stock movement history
• An Edit button to open the full editor

If the product has variants, scroll down in the modal to see a row for each variant with its price and stock. You can click on a variant name to jump to that variant in the editor.

Close the modal by clicking outside it or pressing Escape.

Expand variant children

If a product has variants, a chevron appears next to the name (labeled "Show variants"). Click the chevron to expand and show all child variants as read-only rows beneath the parent. Each child row shows the variant name, price, stock and SKU.

Click Edit variants in the footer to open the full editor.

Select products and bulk actions

Tick the checkboxes next to one or more products. A selection bar appears at the bottom:

• N products selected — count of selected rows
• Clear — deselect all
• Set status ▾ — change status to Active, Draft or Archive
• Bulk edit — open the spreadsheet-style bulk editor
• Delete — permanently remove selected products

Ticking the header checkbox selects all products on the current page. Unticking it deselects all. If you select a variant parent, its child variants are also selected (in the spreadsheet), so deleting a parent will prompt you about its children.

All bulk actions require the matching permissions (products.edit for status and bulk edit, products.delete for delete).

Sort products

Click any column header to sort by that column. Click again to reverse the sort order. You can sort by:

• Product (name)
• Status
• Stock
• Category
• Price

The current sort direction is shown with a small arrow next to the column header.

Pagination and page size

At the bottom right, choose how many rows per page: 10, 20 (default), 50 or 100. Navigate with Previous and Next, or jump to a page number. The current page is remembered while you browse and stay on the same page when you return from editing.

Empty and error states

"No products yet" — You have not created any products. Tap Add product to start.

"No matching products" — Your filters and search returned zero results. Click Clear filters or edit the search.

"Couldn't load products" — A network error occurred. Tap Try again to reload.

"Couldn't refresh — showing the last loaded data." — An automatic refresh failed, but you are still seeing the last successful load. Tap Try again to sync.

On a phone

The page layout adapts to a narrower screen:

• The table columns are simplified: checkbox, thumbnail, name, status, price
• You can scroll horizontally to see more columns
• The selection bar becomes a bottom sheet that slides up from the bottom when you tap a checkbox
• Tap the sheet's Set status or Bulk edit buttons to perform actions

Add a new product

The Add product button (top right) opens the product editor in create mode. It is hidden without the products.create permission, and disabled with a message if your subscription is write-blocked.

Questions people ask

Why does a variant product show multiple rows when expanded?

When a product has variants (e.g. Size and Colour options), each combination is a separate variant with its own price, stock and SKU. Expanding the parent shows all variants so you can see their details at a glance.

How do I see stock at multiple locations?

If you have multiple locations (warehouses or outlets), each product row shows "at N locations" next to the stock count in the Stock column. Click the row to open the details panel and see the stock breakdown by location.

Can I search by category?

The search box finds products by name, SKU and description. To filter by category, open the Filters button and use the Category filter.

Why can't I sort by some columns?

Only certain columns support sorting: Product, Status, Stock, Category, and Price. Columns like Variant count are not sortable.
