Select and update products in bulk
Use checkboxes to select multiple products at once, then set their status, open the spreadsheet bulk editor, or delete them all together.

Select one or more products
Click the checkbox next to any product name. If it is a variant parent, ticking the parent checkbox automatically ticks all its variants too. Unchecking the parent unchecks all children. You can also tick variants individually.
To select all products on the current page (with current filters applied), click the checkbox in the header row.
Once you have selected at least one product, a Selection bar appears at the bottom (desktop) or as a bottom sheet (phone).
Clear the selection
Click the ✕ button in the selection bar to deselect everything.
Change status with Set status
On the selection bar, click Set status and choose from:
- Set Active — all selected products become Active (sellable)
- Set Draft — all selected products become Draft (hidden from the store)
- Archive — all selected products become Archived (kept for records, hidden everywhere)
The operation runs in the background. A toast shows "Updated N product(s)" or "Some products failed to update" if any fail (with per-product errors shown).
Status changes happen immediately — you do not need to save anything separately.
Open the bulk editor
Click Bulk edit on the selection bar to open the spreadsheet bulk editor. The selected product ids are passed to the editor, which loads them in the grid for editing. You can then edit prices, descriptions, stock, and many other fields at once.
If you have no write access, the Bulk edit button is hidden.
Delete selected products
Click Delete on the selection bar. A confirmation dialog appears asking "Delete N product(s)?". The message explains that products already on orders cannot be deleted and will be skipped — you must archive those instead.
Click Delete to proceed. If a product cannot be deleted (it is on an existing order), the operation skips it and continues with the next one. A final toast shows "Deleted N product(s)" and/or "N product(s) could not be deleted" with the reason for the first failure (usually "Some products are part of an order — archive them instead").
Only top-level products are counted — variant children go with their parent automatically.
What happens if some deletes fail
If you are deleting 10 products and 3 of them are on orders, the 7 unattached products are deleted, and a toast shows:
- "Deleted 7 product(s)"
- "3 product(s) could not be deleted: Some products are part of an order — archive them instead."
The operation does not stop when one fails — it deletes what it can.
Careful: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Selecting variants
When you expand a variant parent (click the chevron), the variant rows appear. You can tick them individually, or tick the parent to select all of them at once. The selection bar counts all selected rows. If you select a parent and some of its variants, the parent row shows a dash in the checkbox (indeterminate state).
When you delete or set status on a selection that includes both parents and variants, top-level parents are processed — their variants go with them automatically.

Do I need the Edit products permission to use Bulk edit?
Yes. The Bulk edit button is hidden if you lack the products.edit permission.
What if I start bulk editing and the connection drops?
Your unsaved edits are kept in the grid state while the editor is open. If you close without saving, the edits are lost. There is no "unsaved changes" prompt on close — close or refresh carefully if you have pending work.
Can I select products across multiple pages?
No. The header checkbox selects only the products visible on the current page. Changing the page or filters clears the selection.
